Al-Mikdad at the High Level Consultative Conference on Palestine: Syria condemns “Israel’s” attempts to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza Strip and the West Bank

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad, during the High Level Consultative Conference on Palestine in Tehran, said that the United States prevented the Security Council from adopting any resolution to stop the Israeli continued aggression on Gaza Strip and that Washington is a partner in killing the Palestinian people and in all the crimes being committed by the Israeli entity in the region.

“77 days of Israeli war on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip have passed, yet no mechanism for ceasefire was used. The United States vetoed the adoption of any resolution at the Security Council that leads to stopping the Israeli aggression with the aim of protecting Israel on the one hand and kill the Palestinian people on the other,” Al-Mikdad clarified.

Al-Mikdad noted the main role played by some western countries in the crimes being committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza. He said that these countries have no humanitarian values and they have exposed their hypocrisy and lies, stressing that these countries are responsible for the deteriorating situation in the region, not only through supporting terrorism, but also through the crimes being committed by the occupation in this region.

Al-Mikdad went on to say that these countries seek imposing their interests in every place they reach, therefore, confronting these interests is the responsibility all countries, otherwise, the question later will be “who will be the next victim?”

The top Syrian diplomat pointed out that the global solidarity movement with the Palestinian people, and supporting them starting from this conference, will have new dimensions and will reach some points that must be reached, because everyone may be the victim if the occupation’s massacre against the children, women, and elderly in Palestine is not stopped.

Al-Mikdad affirmed Syria’s condemnation of the attempts of the Israeli occupation to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza Strip and the West Bank and warns of the dangerous consequences of this behavior on the region and the world.

Al-Mikdad pointed out that the countries participating in this conference today seek justice for the Palestinian people and an immediate stop of the Israeli occupation’s massacres, war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Palestinian territories.
