Al- Mikdad: Any meetings with the Turkish side must be based on respecting Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, ending the occupation and halting terrorism support

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al- Mikdad and his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir Abollahian stressed the need to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Al-Mikdad, during a joint press conference with Abdollahian on Saturday, said that any meetings with the Tukish side must be based on respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and on ending the Turkish occupation and halting the support being provided to terrorism.

For his part, Abdollahian affirmed the need to respect Syria’s territorial integrity, pointing out that the relations between Syria and Iran are in their best situation and that the two countries are determined to boost the economic and trade relations up to the level of the political ones.

He clarifidd that the two sides agreed on renewing the long-term document on strategic cooperation in order to sign it soon.
