Al-Mikdad and the Palestinian Ambassador discuss developments in Palestine

Damascus – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Wednesday met with the Palestinian Ambassador in Damascus Samir Al-Rifa’i at the ministry’s building and discussed with him the latest developments on the Palestinian arena.

Al-Mikdad stressed that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the criminal acts committed by the Israeli occupation, the likes of which history has never witnessed before, is a source of pride for our Arab nation. He affirmed that Arab countries should stand together to stop the Zionist entity’s barbaric liquidation policies against the Palestinian people and its violations of all the rules of the international law, confirming Syria’s continuous support for and solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people in the confrontation of the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Zionist entity.

The minister reaffirmed Syria’s condemnation of the destructive role played by the United States and the collective West as essential partners of the Zionist entity in shedding the blood of children and women in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. He stressed the need to unite Palestinian ranks and find strategic visions to confront the conspiracies being hatched to liquidate this just cause.

For his part, the Palestinian ambassador highly appreciated Syria’s long-term support for the Palestinian cause and the struggle of the Palestinian people, indicating the similarity of views regarding the necessity of strengthening joint action to put an end to the Israeli occupation’s crimes.
