Amman, (ST) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Mikdad discussed with the Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi on Monday many common bilateral issues.
According to Petra Agency, the meeting, which was held prior to the meeting of the foreign ministers of Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq in Amman today, dealt with many bilateral issues such as border security, water and refugees.
SANA’s correspondent reported that Minister Al-Mikdad arrived in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the meeting scheduled for today, which includes the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
Al-Mikdad was received by the charge d’affaires of the Syrian embassy in Amman, Issam Nial, and a number of embassy diplomats.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a tweet yesterday: that Dr. Al-Mikdad will participate in the meeting of the foreign ministers of Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, which will be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to follow up on discussing a number of issues that were raised during the recent meetings and contacts.
The ministry stated that the delegation accompanying Minister Al-Mikdad includes the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ayman Sousan, Jamal Najeeb, Director of the Minister’s Office, and Counselor Ihab Hamed from the Minister’s Office.
