Al-Mikdad affirms Syria’s permanent support for the Palestinian cause

Damascus, (ST) – Vice President Dr. Faisal Al-Mikdad met with Director General of the Arab Relations Department in the Palestine Liberation Organization Anwar Abdul Hadi.

The two sides discussed the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Abdul Hadi clarified the developments on the Palestinian scene in light of the escalation of the criminal acts of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, and the attempts of the Israeli occupation entity to expand its aggression to ignite the region.

He also stressed the Palestinian side’s appreciation for Syria’s principled position in support of the Palestinian cause.

For his part, Dr. Al-Mikdad stressed the Syrian Arab Republic’s firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause, and the right of the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate rights, and establish their independent state on their land.

He also stressed the need to stop the brutal attacks, war crimes, and crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist occupation entity against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which continue and expand to other countries in the region as a result of the support and protection provided to it by the United States of America.

Al-Mikdad also stressed the need for all countries to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities to stop these crimes, ensure that the Israeli occupation authorities are held accountable for them, and stand by the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights.
