Al-Mikdad, Abdollahian review recent developments on the Palestinian arena

DAMASCUS, Dec.19, (ST)- Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad discussed, in a telephone call with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the recent developments on the Palestinian arena, mainly in Gaza Strip, warning against the perpetration of more crimes by the Israeli entity and the expansion of its attacks.

The two ministers condemned the Israeli and Western continuous aggression on the Palestinians that claimed the lives of nearly 20 thousand of innocent civilians, most of them children and women, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

They also condemned the liquidation policies followed by the West-backed Israeli government, represented in destroying hospitals and schools as well as targeting the medical cadres in a blatant violation of the international humanitarian law, reiterating their firm support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance that faces all the barbaric attacks waged by the Israeli occupation.

The two ministers in addition reviewed the communications they have made at regional and international levels with the aim of facing the ongoing Israeli violence, referring to the steps and moves that must be taken to stop this aggression.

They called for entering aid to Palestinians along with forcing the Zionist government to respect the will of the international community.

Moreover, Al-Mikdad and Abdollahian talked about the recent successful visit of Prime Minister Hussein Arnous to Tehran, stressing the need to take concrete decisions to follow up on the implementation of the various agreements and memorandums of understanding that have been reached as they will have positive results that serve the peoples of both Syria and Iran.
