Beirut (ST): The dean of the Syrian and Arab captives in Israeli jails Sedqi al-Maqt said that the Syrian Arab army was offering sacrifices in defense of Syria and the Arab nation.
In a telephone call he made to the delegation of the Lebanese Detainees’ Commission, which visited the Syrian embassy in Beirut to offer congratulations on the release of al-Maqt and captive Amal Abu Saleh from Israeli jails, al-Maqt affirmed the unity of struggle among all the Arab captives held in Israeli jails for the sake of their freedom and the liberation of Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.
In turn, Syria’s ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim said that through its heroic steadfastness, Syria has been defending the whole Arab nation, noting that al-Maqt set a great example for loyalty and steadfastness.
In his speech, former minister Mahmoud Qatami, who accompanied the delegation, spoke highly of the great victories realized by the axis of the resistance in confrontation of the American Zionist project in the region.
