Al Maliki urges immediate international action to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and end the suffering of the Palestinian people

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki called for effective and immediate international action to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the tragic suffering of the Palestinian people.

Al-Maliki pointed out in a speech before the third  South Summit in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, according to Wafa Agency, that for more than 100 days, the world has witnessed an unprecedented aggression in the modern era, as the brutality of the Israeli occupation and its disregard for Palestinian life continues. He pointed out that the death toll of killing and maiming reached nearly 100,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including children, women, United Nations employees, medical workers, and journalists, in addition to the forced displacement of two million Palestinians, constituting 85 percent of the Strip’s population, in addition to damage to about 70 percent of the buildings.

Al-Maliki stressed that the brutal occupation aggression has exacerbated the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip to a degree beyond expectations, saying: There are no laws, morals, or principles in this world that can justify this hateful and inhuman reality. He stressed the importance of calling on all countries to pressure the occupying entity to stop war crimes and crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide that continues to be committed against the people of Gaza.

The Palestinian Foreign Minister stressed that it is time for the international community to unite immediately at all levels to put an end to Israel’s impunity and to protect the Palestinian people to help them achieve their inalienable rights and establish their independent state with Al Quds as its capital.
