Al-Laham reelected PA Speaker

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Mohammad Jihad al-Laham reelected as speaker of the People’s  Assembly during a regular session on Sunday.

Addressing reporters after his reelection, al-Laham asserted  that ”the reelection ceremony happened amid a democratic and transparent atmosphere and active participation of the majority of members, according to the Assembly’s statute.”

“the Assembly will extra further  efforts to address all walks of life  in the interest  of the homeland and citizens and in appreciation of the Syrian Arab army’s sacrifices for restoring security and stability,” underscored al-laham
