Al-Laham receives Tunisian delegation

DAMASCUS, (ST)- “Syria is going ahead with its battle against terrorism and curbing the attempts of the foreign intervention  in its internal affairs, ‘said Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Mohammad Jihad al-Laham.

Al-Laham’s remark  came during a meeting with a delegation of the popular parties in Tunisia on Tuesday.

“the Syrian people’s steadfastness  and the Syrian army’s sacrifices  foiled the schemes of the West and global imperialism that are aimed to undermine Syria’s sovereignty and the independence of its national decision, “added al-Laham.

PA Speaker noted that the  terrorist groups ,operating in Syria, have begun to send SOS signals  as they are being defeated under the severe blows they receive every day at the hands of the Syrian army.

Al-Laham highlighted the importance of getting the Tunisian delegation acquainted with what is happening on the ground in Syria and conveying a real image to the brotherly people of Tunisia as  the Syrian media being blackout in a bid to prevent it from airing its message internationally.

Members of the Tunisian delegation, for  their part, voiced  solidarity with Syria in the face of the conspiracy targeting its pivotal role in the region and its approach of resisting hegemony and imperialism.
