Al-Khalil and Al-Nai discuss the mechanism of the work of the Arab federations in Syria

On the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the 112th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council in Cairo, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil discussed with the Secretary-General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Ambassador Mohamad Ahmad Al-Nai Syria’s relation with the Economic Unity Council, the situation of the Arab federations, especially those in Syria, and mechanisms of evaluating the activities of these federations.

During the meeting today, the preparations being made by the General Secretariat of the Council to hold an economic and investment conference in Syria during the first quarter of next year were reviewed, as well as the meeting of federations that will also be held in Damascus next February.

Al-Khalil stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Economic Unity Council according to better and more effective mechanisms in the coming period.

The meeting was attended by Syria’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Eddin Ala.
