Al-Khalidi: Stances of So-Called ‘Syrian National Salvation Front’ are against Palestinian and Syrian Peoples
The Palestinian Ambassador in Damascus Mahmoud al-Khalidi has denounced a plan presented by the so-called ‘Syrian National Salvation Front’ [an opposition party] on what it called a ‘road map for peace between Syria and Israel’ that aims at appeasing the enemy.
He stressed that such a humiliating stance is against the Palestinian people’s national rights recognized by the world and against the Syrian people and their deep-rooted history of struggle for Palestine, according to the Syrian Arab News agency (SANA), which clarified that the ambassador’s remark came after the circulation of the plan by some media outlets and social media.
The agency added that al-Khalidi warned in a statement released today against manipulation with Palestinian people’s rights and their cause.
“Blood, history and future connect us with Syria and nobody has the right to appease occupation government and to collude with it at the expense of the Palestinian cause, which is Syria’s first cause,” the diplomat said.
The “opposition” front’s plan calls for cancelling Palestinian refugees camps in Syria and dissolving all Palestinian resistance factions that exist in Syria, according to social media.
Last Monday, the Israeli occupation radio reported that “the map includes recognition of Israel, reaching settlement on Golan cause and establishing friendly and strategic relations with Israel”.
