Al Kaila renews her call on the United Nations to provide protection for the health sector in Gaza

The Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al Kaila, renewed her call on the international community to provide international protection for the medical crews, hospitals and the health facilities in the West Bank and the Stricken Gaza.

Wafa agency quoted Al Kaila as saying in an urgent message to the Secretary general of the United Nations Antonio Guteress :” 40 doctors and health sector workers were martyred as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression since last October 7 and about 900 were injured, while the occupation forces continue to detain 100 staff”.

Al-Kaila pointed out that the occupation’s violations against the Palestinian health sector are increasing despite the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the Israeli aggression against Gaza, demanding that the health sector be protected and that “Israel” be held accountable for its crimes and serious violations of international law.

She described what the occupation forces recently carried out at Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Jenin that claimed the lives of a patient and two of his companions, as a serious violation.
