Al-Jaafari to Chinese media: Western propaganda against Russia is identical to what it did against Syria and its people

Damascus (ST): Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, reiterated Syria’s support for Russia due to the correctness of its stance and its legitimate right to defend its national security in the face of hostile Western policies, indicating that the West supports the neo-Nazis in Ukraine as well as terrorist groups in Syria as a tool to impose its hegemony.

In an interview with a number of Chinese media outlets, Al-Jaafari warned against the West’s recycling of the terrorists of “ISIS”, “Jabhat al-Nusra”, the Uyghurs, and Turkey’s agents from the Sultan Murad Brigades and other terrorist organizations, and transferring them to Ukraine for use there under the cover of Western calls to bring in the so-called “volunteers”, pointing out that the role entrusted to the neo-Nazis in Ukraine is the same as that of the “White Helmets” terrorists, “ISIS” and what the West calls the “moderate armed opposition”, as Western intelligence in NATO countries is the operator of all these organizations.

Al-Jaafari added that what Western propaganda is doing against Russia and President Vladimir Putin is an identical repetition of what the same Western media machine has done against Syria, its people and government, stressing the need not to fall into the traps of the Western misinformation and lies campaigns currently underway against Russia and the countries that stand with it, because what Russia is doing is a correction of the major mistakes made by the West since the dissolution of the Soviet Union against Russia, Syria, China, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Venezuela, Cuba and the DPRK, noting that whoever stands with Moscow today is standing with himself and protecting it from the dangers of repeating Western aggressive policies against them.

Al-Jaafari indicated that what Russia is doing today in Ukraine is to correct and restore balance in international relations to its previous era. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the end of the era of multipolarity, the United States of America was alone in controlling world decisions. Its current policies and its allies are only with the aim of keeping history in the wrong place, maintaining chaos and legitimizing the West’s aggressive policies.

Al-Jaafari explained that while Russia views the West as a partner, the West assumes that Russia is the enemy, as it works to expand NATO to the east and intends to introduce and deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine, in addition to the United States’ deployment of 150 nuclear bombs in Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. The West supports and sponsors the neo-Nazis present in Ukraine, as well as supporting terrorist groups in Syria as a tool to impose its hegemony and achieve its aggressive goals.

The Deputy Minister stressed that there is an important bloc of 21 countries that reject Western hegemony, which were formed during the previous session of the United Nations General Assembly under the name of the Group of Friends of the United Nations Charter, standing together to confront Western policies of manipulating international law and the provisions of the Charter.
