Al-Jaafari to Anderson: What happened in Syria was pre-planned killing and destruction

Damascus (ST): Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari met  with Australian Professor Tim Anderson and a number of Australian researchers of Syrian origin.

Dr. Al-Jaafari thanked the Australian Professor for his  courageous stances in revealing the dangerous conspiracy against Syria that threatens the security of the region and its geographical and demographic unity, and congratulated him on the release of his new book titled “The Axis of Resistance, Towards an Independent Middle East,” which is integrated with his previously published book entitled “The Dirty War on Syria, Washington, the Change the Regime and the Resistance.”

Dr. Al-Jaafari stressed that the terrorist war on Syria and the killing and destruction that it brought was planned in advance by the conspiring countries against Syria, as they did not leave anything to chance. Their actions indicated their goals since the first day of that war, whether by stealing agricultural crops and industrial plants or destroying archaeological sites or their occupation of parts of the Syrian land.

Dr. Al-Jaafari pointed out that the imposition of unilateral coercive economic measures by the conspiring countries constitutes a further impoverishment of the Syrian people as one of the means to achieve their political goals.

For his part, Professor Anderson put forward the idea of creating a platform that brings together the most prominent defenders of Syria from different nationalities, specializations and intellectual orientations, and discusses the possibility of holding a conference in Syria that includes a constellation of these real friends and defenders.
