Al-Jaafari: The Kazan Forum is an important civilized message about a multilateral world

Moscow (ST): Syria’s ambassador to Russia, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, affirmed that the Russian International Economic Forum (Russia and the Islamic World, Kazan Forum) represents an important and civilized message of cooperation between all parties to human civilization.

In a session of the forum today attended by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, Assistant to the Russian President Igor Levitin, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, Al-Jaafari said: “This forum is a very important event that our world needs today more than ever. It in itself represents an important message about a multilateral world between Russia and the Islamic world, and it is a civilized message of cooperation between all parties to human civilization.”

Al-Jaafari added: The continued holding of the forum annually for 14 years indicates Russia’s interest and keenness to cooperate with the Islamic world, which is historically proven cooperation, including in its old and constantly renewed reality.

Al-Jaafari considered that Russia’s relationship with the Islamic world is a transparent and principled relationship that is not instantaneous, so strengthening it is in the interest of all, and added: The forum is an opportunity to express our “thank you in Syria” to the friends in the Russian Federation, the leadership, the government and the people for the quick initiative that they took to extend A helping hand immediately after the catastrophe of the earthquake that hit Syria.

Al-Jaafari stressed that Russia spared no effort except to provide it to the Syrian people in the face of this calamity that befell them, stressing special thanks to the workers in the Ministries of Emergency and Defense in the Russian Federation for the nature of their special work in providing assistance.

Al-Jaafari pointed out that this forum, with its great diversity, approximates the needs in dealing between Russia and the Islamic world, which justifies the great interest of representatives of the Islamic world in it, and their endeavor to strengthen relations not only in the commercial and economic aspect, but also in terms of cultural and political relations between our countries and the Russian Federation.

The session discussed the topic of “Developing the International Transport Corridor between the North and the South” today as part of the program of the 14th International Economic Forum “Russia – the Islamic World .. Kazan Forum 2023”.
