Al-Jaafari: Terrorist groups use civilians as human shields in Adra

NEW YORK, (ST) – Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari ,Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, called UN  for pressuring the governing regimes of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey to halt bankrolling, backing and providing facilitations to the armed terrorist groups which are perpetrating heinous  massacres against civilians in Syria.

Speaking at press conference after a closed session held by the Security Council on Monday evening, al-Jaafari said “I am seizing this opportunity to brief you on sensitive  information, you have already known ,about crimes carried out  by “Jabhat al-Nusra” or” Islamic fronts” or “Islamic army”, in Adra [on the road  linked between Damascus and Homs].Those mercenaries are faultlessly backed by Saudi, Qatari and Turkish intelligence agencies and committed massacres against civilians in Adra,”.

“actually, the Syrian Army is there , but the terrorist groups are using civilians as human shields, so the Army will not stage a massive operation in the said area only to preserve the citizens’ lives there,’. Added al Jafaari.

On the results of the letters sent by Syria to the UN as regards  the terrorists’ massacres against civilians in Adra, al-Jaafari said “no one can predict that the UN will make miracles simply as Syria has already sent hundreds of documented letters to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council but to no avail, because there are permanent members who support terrorism and cover up terrorists’ crimes in Syria,”.

Al-Jaafari called on UN-affiliated nations  to shoulder their responsibilities.

“undoubtedly, paying no heed to this serious matter-referring to the terrorism funded by Turkey ,Qatar and Saudi Arabia- will definitely lead to spillover terrorism across the globe rather than  uncontrollable chaos and turmoil  the region which will be difficult to control later, “underlined al-Jafaari.

Al-Jafaari made it clear that terrorism will hit  the regimes which are funding it now. Those who bring the genie out of the bottle will not be able to return it to the bottle, and those who play with fire will definitely be burned by it.
