Russia’s Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yefimov has stressed that Russia seeks demilitarizing Ukraine and liberating it from Nazism and it doesn’t carry out attacks against civilian sites.
During a special meeting hosted by the Arab Writers Union in Damascus on Thursday, Yefimov said that the neo Nazis are using civilians as human shields and they are adopting the same policy used by terrorists in Syria.
He added that his country is keen on keeping the life of every Ukrainian, but the Neo Nazis don’t allow civilians to get out and they shoot at them if they try to do that.
On his part, Syria’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari said “there is a massive flow of information, but we lack enough political education. The West is lying to us and we are living a Western political lie. There is a problem in the political knowledge about what is happening in Ukraine.”
He added that the international files have overlapped more than before and Ukraine’s experience has proved the fragility of the European security system.
“We need to support the Russian stance and Syria is the best, among very few countries, to understand the geopolitical dangers,” Al-Jaafari went on to say, noting Styria’s historically pivotal role.
“Russia is targeted and it stresses that the main problem is NATO’s expansion. Instead of witnessing the dissolution of the alliance, we witnessed its expansion eastward,” Al-Jaafari pointed out, affirming the need to put an end to the aggressive Western policy.
Al-Jaafari reiterated that the European Union is a subordinate to NATO and Russia has discovered real allies who support it.
“Syria and Russia are in the same trench and we are Russia’s partner in confrontation of the West,” Al-Jaafari,” made it clear.
Concerning the economic repercussions, Al-Jaafari said that “all countries of the world, including Syria, are affected by what is happening, but the most affected are those who imposed sanctions on the global financial system”.
