Al-Jaafari reiterates Syria’s firm stance towards Palestinian cause

DAMASCUS, Jun.20, (ST)- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari, received this morning Ahmed Abu Houli, the member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, accompanied by Samir Al-Rifai, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Syria.

The discussion focused on the recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the situation of Palestinian refugees in Syria and in the host countries after the conclusion of the recent meetings of the UNRWA Advisory Committee in Beirut.

Al-Jaafari reiterated Syria’s firm stance towards the Palestinian cause as it is the central cause, and its continuous support for the struggle and legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people in order to end the Israeli occupation and restore its usurped legitimate rights guaranteed by international legitimacy resolutions, foremost of which is Resolution No. 194/, which guarantees the right of return.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stressed that these rights are legally protected and do not fall within the statute of limitations, and that all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause are doomed to failure.

For his part, Abu Houli expressed his great gratitude for Syria’s principled stances in supporting the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights, stressing that Syria’s steadfastness in its war against terrorist organizations, which are supported by some Western countries and the Israeli occupation entity, contributed to strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and protecting the rights of Palestinian refugees in international forums.
