Hasaka,(ST)- The Public Corporation for Drinking Water in Al-Hasakah Governorate is working on the complete maintenance of the Alouk water project and putting it into service as soon as possible, and in full production capacity after conducting a careful technical evaluation of the status of all the pumps.
The Director General of the Foundation, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Ikla, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the technical workshops of the Foundation, after having carried out emergency maintenance for some pumps and a technical evaluation of the status of the remaining pumps, began to maintain all equipment and supplies in the project and operating wells.
Engineer Al-Akla pointed out that the number of working wells in the Alouk project currently stands at 17 wells, and work is underway to maintain and rehabilitate a new group of wells to enter service at the end of next week, which will increase the quantities of water coming to the subscribers, indicating that maintenance work continues until the introduction of all wells and stations into service.
It is noteworthy that the Alouk project, which is located in the countryside of Ras al-Ain city which is occupied by the Turkish occupation forces, consists of 30 wells, where a large part of the equipment was subjected to technical failures during the previous period as a result of the Turkish occupation forces preventing the establishment’s workers and maintenance workshops from entering the project.
