Al-Halqi to Medvedev: Syrian-Russian Cooperation Helps Restore Peace, Security to Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi has stressed that cooperation and coordination between Syria and Russia will help restore peace and security to Syria and to the entire world.

Al-Halqi made the remarks in a congratulation cable he sent on Sunday to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on Russia’s Victory Day over Nazism.

On behalf of the Syrian government and people, al-Halqi congratulated to the Russian people on this great day in which the Russians presented an example to follow by all countries of the world in confronting aggression, adhering to identity and defending the homeland.

He also thanked the Russian leadership and people for their supportive stances towards Syria in the face of the terrorist aggression and expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries will lead to victory over terrorism.
