Al-Halqi: Syria Will Never Kneel

DAMASCUS, (ST)- “Syria- government and people- will not quit  a grain dust of the national soil, including the occupied Golan which we are going to liberate it, “underscored Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi.

“I do appreciate the Golan residents’ steadfastness against the brutality of the Israeli occupation which relentlessly aims at obliterating their national identity rather than their existence, “added al- Halqi.

Al-Halqi’s comments came during the cabinet’s weekly session held on Tuesday and presided over by him.

Addressing the cabinet members ,al-Halqi recalled: “our great people are painfully recalling the 5th of June,1967 aggression’s anniversary on the Arabs where the Israeli occupation forces occupied parts of the Arab homeland including the Golan which is a fundamental part of Syria,”

  In this regard, al-Halqi linked between what was happened in 1967 and today as the bastion of resistance, Syria, is currently under a vicious conspiracy  aims at destabilizing its security and stability.

“under any circumstances, Syria will never kneel since its people and army are working together to foil foreign schemes, “underlined al-halqi.

During the meeting, al-Halqi also briefed his colleagues on the government’s activities over the past week .”there is a dire need to revamp the role of the administrative units across Syria with the aim of consolidating communication with citizens, rendering best services and ensuring them a daily-basis requirements .

Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem ,for his part, briefed the Cabinet on the latest developments on the international arena and its repercussions on the internal situation.

“the Syrians believe that ending the crisis will be through materializing the political program to solve the crisis ,”asserted al-Moallem.

Al-Moallem also lauded the Army’s victories nationwide and their role in restoring security and stability.
