DAMASCUS,(ST)_Prime Minister has underscored that Syria will never abandon the Israeli-occupied Golan and it will go ahead with scoring victories against the armed terrorist groups nationwide.
Wael al-Halqi’s remark was made after a festival held today at Al-Assad Library in Damascus on the occasion of the 43th anniversary of the Correction Movement and the October War.
He told reporters: “The Israeli-occupied Golan will be brought back to the bosom of Syria and will remain in its heart. Quneitra province reminds us of the October war’s victories that proved the Syrian Arab army’s ability to defend the homeland.”
The premier noted that Syria has started the process of rebuilding and reviving the previous activities. “Syria will remain an epitome of safety, security, love and co-existence,” he said.

Al-Halqi also talked briefly about the Correction Movement by saying: “The glorious Correction Movement was a catalyst and base for military, cultural, social and economic aspects. The late president Hafez Al-Assad proposed the idea of self-reliance and building the homeland by the hands of its people. “
‘A duty’
On the other hand, he stressed that the government attaches great importance to martyrs’ families. “It is a legal, constitutional, moral and humanitarian duty to honor the families of Martyrs, who sacrificed themselves for the country.”
The Arab Baath Socialist Party’s Quneitra Branch honored, in the festival, several families of the Syrian Arab army’s martyrs.
