DAMASCUS, (ST) – Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi branded the Syrian-Indian ties as deep-rooted and historic ,adding that they have developed remarkably in different fields including politics, economy, technology and administration throughout the past ten years.
The said relations have been developed exchanging visits of the two nation’s officials.
Al-Halqi remarks came during his meeting with a media and law delegation on Thursday where the Premier underscored the necessity for media outlets to assume their role in conveying the true image regarding the aggression launched against Syria that aims at controlling the region and fragmenting it in service of “Israel”.
Al-Halqi briefed the delegation on the steps taken by the government to solve the crisis through materializing the political program proposed by President Bashar al-Assad.
“Syria is open to all initiatives that aim at solving the crisis politically in a way that guarantees its sovereignty, stability and integral unity, without foreign interference in its domestic affairs, “underlined al-Halqi.
“the Syrian economy is solid, al-Halqi stressed ,as Syria enjoys food security,” pointing out that the government continues to secure all citizens’ needs, along with working on rehabilitating and restoring what has been sabotaged by the terrorists.
He also briefed the delegation on to the massacres and criminal acts perpetrated by the armed terrorist groups against the Syrian people, in addition to sabotaging the Syrian economy’s infrastructure through targeting the oil and gas pipelines and fields, power plants , hospitals and schools.
In turn, the Indian delegation members voiced solidarity with Syria in the face of the conspiracy hatched against it, adding that the visit helped them inspect the reality of events to convey it without falsification.
