Al-Halqi : national media must be re-shaped

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Prime Minister has praised the national media’s role in confronting the fierce war against the country but criticized it for being sentimental in covering the ongoing events . 

Dr. Wael al-Halqi has asked the National Information Council (NIC), recently reshuffled, to coordinate with the Information Ministry in drawing up policies on re-structuring the national media and benefitting from the highly-qualified cadre. 

Speaking in a meeting with the Head and members of the NIC chaired by Mohammad Razouq, he underscored that the media must be a real national industry based on well-qualified cadre and high-tech.

 The meeting today zeroed in on the mechanism of developing the national media and its requirements.
