DAMASCUS, (ST) – Prime MinisterWael al-Halqion Monday stressed that the Syrian journalists have greatly contributed to defending Syria’s Independent national decision and that they stand side by side with the Syrian Arab Army in the confrontation of the global war against Syria.
During the 8th Conference of the Journalists Union, al-Halqi said that that the government is keen to eliminate obstacles facing the performance of national media institution so as to be competitive to the international ones.
“The government won’t give up its support for basic materials and it won’t allow any crude oil tank out of Syria,” the premier said.
The government will also continue to give compensations for terrorism-affected victims, that it is providing shelters food and medicines for the displaced families, he added.
Al-Halqi pointed out that humanitarian assistance arrives to all areas under the government’s supervision , but “we won’t allow assistance to enter across borders without a government permission, because this violates the state’s national sovereignty.”
He pointed out that the government had adopted all procedures and arrangements necessary to buy wheat crops from farmers in appreciation for their efforts in supporting agriculture.
