Al-Haddad: The draft law on the rights of the child stresses the obligatory education, child protection and care
Damascus (ST): The rights of the child to life, survival, development, the provision of alternative care for the missing family, the best interest of the child in his protection, upbringing, education and care, and his right to enjoy public rights and freedoms without any discrimination were a summary of the aspects that the Ministry of Education participated in during the discussion of the articles of the draft law on the rights of the child in Syria.
The Regional Center for Early Childhood Development in the Ministry played a role in discussing the articles of the draft law due to its responsibilities in terms of spreading family and societal awareness about the rights of the child, according to a statement by the director of the center, Kifah Al-Haddad, referring to the lectures, seminars, flyers and workshops that the center regularly carries out for parents concerned with alternative education, such as orphanages, as well as childhood specialists.
The director of the center pointed out that there is an educational laboratory within the center that includes about 100 children, in which many cases of children are monitored, studied and discussed with academics specialized in children and finding the best solutions for them.
