Al-Habbash: The occupation’s attacks on Palestinian holy sites are a war crime

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Palestinian Supreme Judge Mahmoud Al-Habbash affirmed that the ongoing Israeli attacks on holy sites in the occupied city of Jerusalem are a war crime.

WAFA news agency reported that Al-Habbash condemned in a statement the new crime that the occupation forces committed last night when they stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque at the time of the evening and “Taraweeh Prayers” and on the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan and when they cut off the electricity wires from the mosque’s minarets, which prevented the call to prayer from being raised through loudspeakers.

He added that the series of daily crimes carried out by the occupation against Al-Aqsa include imposing siege on it and preventing Palestinians from visiting it, in addition to increasing the frequency of daily incursions by extremist settlers and carrying out provocative tours in its courtyards.

Al-Habbash called on the international community and the United Nations agencies, led by the Education, Culture and Science Organization (UNESCO), to take practical measures to protect the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, warning at the same time against the continued silence of the international community over the crimes of the occupation in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
