Al-Ghabash: The need to support Syria to face the repercussions of coercive economic measures on its health sector
Dr. Al-Ghabash pointed to the economic and health effects resulting from the terrorist war against Syria, the economic blockade and the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people by some countries, noting that all of this directly affected the capabilities of the health sector to perform its tasks effectively.
The work of the 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, with the participation of Syria, began yesterday in Cairo under the slogan “Together for a sustainable tomorrow and better health,” and will continue until the 13th of this month.
