AL Decisions Are Null, Void , of No Legal Effect –Ahmad

Damascus, (ST) _Ambassador Yusuf Ahmed stressed that Arab League replacement of a lifeless entity  by  a legitimate state with full sovereignty is illegal unprecedented act   that  allows all oppositions in all Arab countries to claim what  Istanbul Council gets in its new  formula.
In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV Channel on Monday,  Ahmad  said that  the purpose of this act is to  step Syria away from their meetings , noting that the AL  has made itself a party to the crisis in Syria and not part of the solution considering that  Syria views  any decision taken by the AL  at  different levels  as null and void and of no legal effect.

Ahmed added that the AL ‘s recent  decision to call on  arming  terrorist groups in Syria is dangerous and blatantly violates the AL Charter , adding that suspending the   participation of the Syrian delegations to the AL meetings  aims to  liquidate the Palestinian cause at the decision of the US, the Western countries and Israel.
Ahmed explained that the  practices of the Arab League towards the crisis in Syria was governed by four factors :   Saudi and Qatari led -Gulf  flagrant violation of the AL decisions in order to impose a political agenda linked to the interests of US and the West; absolute subordination of the AL ‘s Secretary-General and his assistants to what is  dictated by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC); the negative interaction of most Arab states by virtue of  their political or economic crises ; and the humble role  of few  Arab countries that refuse Gulf dominance  but are unable to prevent  statements and resolutions passed by the AL, including   Iraq, Algeria, and  Lebanon, to a certain extent.

Ahmed pointed out Qatar and  Saudi Arabia scheme  aims to bring discord into the region to implement American-Israeli agendas.
