Al Aziziyya… Most Beautiful Neighborhoods of Aleppo

(ST)- Who visits Aleppo and does not passes through the streets of Al -Aziziyya, the visit is considered without a favor. The beauty, good organization, good nature and originality of its people make the quarter the most beautiful neighborhoods of Aleppo.

The name of Al Aziziyya associated with the names of the martyrs in the history books also known as the land of the gallows to the fact that the Ottomans took it as a headquarters when they were in Aleppo. The researcher, Mahmoud Zain Ali, says that the name is attributed to the Sultan Abdul Aziz.

” The quarter is a safe place, carries love and tranquility. It has become today one of the most alive and populous being carries within its sides the fragrant of the past and its remarkable features in buildings and shops,” he added.

The visitor can witness the modernity that does not hide the effects of the glorious past. The color of the streets and buildings reminds with periods of time passed on Al -Aziziyya.

Al Aziziyya suburb is not far from the city center just a few meters and the visitor can enter to  Al Aziziyya from al –Sulaymaniyah, al Meedan and al –Seryan suburbs. 

The Quaq River passes through the suburb. It has the most beautiful landscapes including al –Manshiyya Garden and the balconies of houses that have special and distinctive character that capture the hearts.

Whatever is built of towers and modern residential buildings, the old character of the suburb remains overwhelming strongly with its influence and color.

The unique social character stamps the suburb where streets are crowded with pedestrians for most of the year and often you can hear music from its corners that satisfies most tastes, said Susie Melchonyan, a residents in the neighborhood.
