Al-Azhar calls on the Arab and Islamic nation to support the Palestinian people

Cairo (ST): The Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif called on the Arab and Islamic nation to support the Palestinian people and stand by them in the face of the aggression and massacres they are exposed to at the hands of the Israeli occupation.

Al-Azhar said in a statement published on its website: “The Arab and Islamic nation must reconsider its dependence on the arrogant European-American West, and the Palestinians must trust that the West, with all its military capabilities and destructive machines, is weak, as it fights on a land other than its own and defends outdated doctrines and ideologies.”

Al-Azhar added: “The Islamic nation must invest the power, money, wealth, and equipment it possesses, and stand behind Palestine and its oppressed people who face an enemy that has lost conscience, feeling, and sensitivity, and has turned its back on humanity and morals.”
