Al-Asoumi: Palestine is the central Arab issue

Cairo (ST) – Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi denounced the inability of the international community to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.

During the emergency meeting of the Palestine Committee in the Arab Parliament, Al-Asoumi indicated the preparations for holding the special session on Gaza, scheduled to be held today under the title “Supporting Palestine and Gaza” in the presence of  a number of Arab and international figures to discuss developments and the dangerous escalation in the Palestinian territories.

“The Arab Parliament is actively following the humanitarian catastrophe and tragedy resulting from the brutal aggression of the Israeli occupation against Gaza”, Al-Asoumi said.

“We are entering the 83rd day of the Israeli aggression and comprehensive war of annihilation in Gaza Strip”, he added.

Al-Asoumi renewed the Arab Parliament’s support for the Palestinian cause as it is the first and central Arab cause, stressing that “the Arab Parliament will continue its movement at all levels until the Palestinian people restore their full rights, most notably the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.”
