Al- Asoomi: The crimes of the Israeli occupation in Gaza reveal the inability of the UN Security Council

Cairo, (ST) – The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoomi, confirmed that the war crimes and genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation in Gaza Strip has  revealed the extent of international hypocrisy that we live in our contemporary world.

He added that these crimes also revealed the inability of the UN Security Council to manage the current international system, which needs radical change if the law of the jungle is to end.

Al Asoomi said in a statement he delivered before the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which is holding its meetings in Geneva during the period from 23 to 27 March of this month: “There is talk at the international level about building bridges for peace, but the international community is incapable in every sense of the word to stop the killing of children, women, and the elderly in Palestine, where Palestinians have been exposed, for six months continuously, to genocide crimes and brutal massacres that have not been witnessed in contemporary history.”

Al Asoomi warned of the dangers of the starvation policy deliberately pursued by the brutal occupation entity. He said that the daily statistics no longer merely monitor the numbers of martyrs and injured, but rather talk about the numbers of daily massacres committed against families and entire families, which reflects the horror of the terrorist practices carried out by the occupation.

Al Asoomi pointed out the need for the Inter-Parliamentary Union to take a strong and clear stance towards the massacres and crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza Strip, not only in solidarity with the Palestinian people, but also with humanity, which, with all its religions, races and genders, rejects what the occupier is doing in Gaza Strip.
