Al-Asa’ad calls on the Asian parliaments meeting in Tehran to stand by the Syrian people in the face of unjust sanctions
Tehran (ST): Muhammad Al-Asa’ad, head of the delegation of the Syrian People’s Assembly participating in the work of the Planning and Budget Committee and the collection of basic documents of the Asian Parliaments Association in Tehran, called on the members of the Association to work with their councils, parliaments and governments to stand by the Syrian people against the terrorist war imposed on them by the forces of evil in the world and to break the siege imposed on them by the so-called “Caesar Act” that harms the national economy, increases the suffering of the people and destroys the state’s infrastructure.
In his speech during the meeting, Al-Asa’ad underlined the importance of joint cooperation between the countries of the Asian continent because of the economic and human resources they possess to advance their peoples, defend their rights, and stand up to illegal practices by some countries that are outside international laws and norms represented by global Zionism, which works to occupy peoples.
On the other hand, Al-Asaad stressed, during the reception of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council Chairman Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf to him and the heads of parliamentary delegations on the sidelines of the committee meeting, the depth of the Syrian-Iranian relations and the role of the parliaments of the two countries in strengthening them, expressing his appreciation and thanks to the Republic of Iran and especially the Islamic Shura Council for hosting the committee’s meetings in Tehran.
