Al-Aqsa Imam: Preachers for ” Jihad” in Syria are Liars , Traitors.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (ST) _Sheikh Salah al-Din ibn Ibrahim Abu Arafa one of Al-Aqsa Mosque  imams stressed  that fatwas and calls for Jihad in Syria issued by some who claim themselves religious scholars are pure lies , to please  the enemies of Syria  and their lies should be unmasked

In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV on Wednesday, Abu Arafa said “if they were honest and true,   occupied Palestine should be their direction , questioning why they did not call for the liberation of Jerusalem which has been occupied since 60 years, the same they did in Syria.” 

Abu Arafa added that jihad is not among  people of the same religion, wondering how Damascus has become the Gate to paradise , while  “we are its neighbors in Palestine ,Gaza and Jerusalem  are occupied by  Israel ” and no one  called for  jihad- in word or deed, stressing that those preachers are  liars  and traitors. 

He continued  that the groups that came to Syria in the name of religion is far from being with it because one who  seeks Muslim blood and raise the banner of Islam to shed  his brother’s blood or under any name is but a traitor and  a liar . ” This is one nation, of one religion ,prophet  and holy book, one who is separated it  or carry weapons, against it does not belong to us”, Sheikh Abu Arafa said, citing the words of the Prophet, peace be upon him “do not return to be   infidels  after me, with one hits  another’s throat.” 

Sheikh Abu Arafa  appealed that  security and peace will be restored to Syria  and for the defeat of   its enemies “.
