Aide of ISIL Leader Al-Baghdadi Killed in Salahuddin

ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s aide was killed near Samarra city, the command center of Salahuddin operations announced.

The Iraqi security forces and al-Hashd al-Shaabi volunteer forces killed the aide of the ISIL leader near Samarra on Wednesday, the command center of Salahuddin operations said on Thursday, adding that the dead terrorist was of Algerian origin.

 The Iraqi forces also inflicted heavy losses on ISIL terrorists in their mop-up operations in the region.

Meanwhile, Iraqi warplanes destroyed an ISIL military vehicle and another car, which was carrying barrels of explosives, belonged to the terrorists in Sharif Abbas area in Western Samarra.

ISIL Emir killed in Anbar

In the same context, Iraqi security forces killed a top ISIL commander and four of his aides in Anbar province.

The so-called Emir of the ISIL terrorist group, AbulTalha al-Lubnani, and four of his aides were killed in al-Jarayeshi battles in Northern Anbar.

The Iraqi forces also regained control of the strategic bridge of al- Jarayeshi, an ISIL supply routes, in Northern Anbar.

All ISIL strategic supply routes to the center of Anbar province have been cut, sources said, adding that the Iraqi forces are advancing towards the center of the province.

Reports also said that Iraqi army and volunteer forces, backed by the country’s warplanes, liberated more than 80 percent of the province of Anbar from the control of the ISIL terrorists, and killed scores of the terrorists.
