Ahmed Shaheedˈs report undocumented: MP

An Iranian lawmaker said on Sunday that the report filed by Ahmed Shaheed, UN special rapporteure on the situation of human rights in Iran is ˈbiasedˈ and ˈundocumented, according to IRNA.

Ahmad Bakhshayesh who is a member of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranˈs Majlis said that Ahmad Shaheesdˈs fourth report on Iran was released while its resources are “counter-revolutionary elements, opposition groups based in foreign countries and terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) members”.

He added that in his third report, just like in the past three ones, Ahmad Shaheed has raised fabricated issues about Iran and has used the situation of prisoners in Iran as a pretext to raise false allegations against Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a unique democratic system in the world is a free, safe and popular country whose rightfulness is acknowledged by all nations, governments and even its enemies, he noted

He also said that such repeated reports on Iran which are led by the US are not accepted in any international circles.
