DAMASCUS, (ST) – The Agronomists’ Association and the General Association of Biotechnology recently signed a memorandum of understanding on scientific and professional cooperation between the two sides, especially in the field of plant and animal production development.
The memo includes the establishment of specialized training courses within the common interests of thetwo Associationsto provide expertise and advice by theGeneral Association of Biotechnology as a specialist body of expertise and studies in various fields and cooperation in the establishment of scientific conferences and symposiums.
The Head ofAgronomists’Union Dr. Rama Aziz said to local press that the three- year memoaims at organizing scientific, technological and vocational cooperation between the two parties, particularly in the areas of agricultural plant, animal and food cooperation, with a focus on the development of research results and the creation of technology incubatorsto reach available investment expertise at the both parties to support agricultural production.
For his part, the Director General of the Biotechnology Association Dr. Essam Qassem stressed that the Association is cooperating with many parties in Syria, the research domain through its modern labs especially with the Syrian universities by providing the labs for graduate students and researchers, adding that cooperation with the Agronomists’ Association will focus on investment expertise and research results in the development of production processes.
