After years of displacement tens of displaced Syrian Families Return Home from al-Azraq Camp in Jordan

DAR’A, (ST)- The border crossing of Nasib in the Syrian province of Dar’a witnessed today the return of a new batch of Syrian refugees from al-Azraq camp in Jordan. 

These families returned home following years of displacement from their towns and villages in Syria because of the terrorist gangs.

Authorities completed all the administrative measures to welcome the returnees, provide necessary services to them and take them by buses to the areas of residence which were liberated from terrorism by the Syrian army.

 Colonel Mazen Ghandour, Head of the immigration and Passports section at Nasib crossing center, said that the number of returnees since the Nasib crossing was reopened in 2018 has reached 29549, noting the facilitations provided by the Syrian government to ensure the refugees’ safe return.

Some of the returnees spoke to SANA about their bitter experience in the camp. They stressed that by returning to the homeland they start a new life that will hopefully be full of active work to rebuild what terrorism has destroyed in their country.
