After winning 3 silvers in the Asian Championships, Asa’ad is about to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics
Tashkent (ST): Syrian weightlifter Ma’an Asa’ad has won three silver medals in the Asian Men’s Championships over 109 kg, currently held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, which qualifies him for the Tokyo Olympics.
Asa’ad was able to obtain the first silver by lifting 195 kg, breaking the Syrian record number, and the second by lifting 238 kg, and the third in the overall total of 433 kg.
It is noteworthy that Asa’ad is about to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, after winning the three medals in the Asian Championships, pending the issuance of the classification by the International Federation of the game next month.
