Having spent 17 years in Israeli occupation detention, Palestinian prisoner Fouad Al-Shobaki recently won freedom, triumphing with his determination and solid will over his jailer.
In his first statement after gaining his freedom, Al-Shobaki said; “Prisoners are martyrs ptojects after sacrificing their lives for the Palestinian cause, especially since some of them have spent many decades there leading an ongoing revolution inside the occupation’s prisons against the occipation’s crimes and violations, calling for action to be taken for the immediate release of all prisoners, first and foremost of who are the sick.
Al-Shobaki, the “Sheikh of Pprisoners”, is the oldest Palestinian prisoner in the occupation detention centers, as he was detained in 2006.
He has been involved in all the battles of the captive movement and suffers from a serious health problem and disease in his body as a result of the long years of detention.
Palestinian media reported that the prisoner, Al-Shobaki, is from Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the besieged Gaza Strip, and he will head to the city of Ramallah, West Bank, where his family resides.
