AFC Asian Cup 2023: Asian Cup group stage draw pots confirmed, Syria in POT 3

Kuala Lumpur, (ST) –  The Asian Football Confederation announced the group stage draw pots of the 2023 Asian Cup, scheduled to be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, between January 12 and February 10 of next year.  24 teams, including 10 Arab teams, will participate in this tournament.

The Syrian football team came in POT3 alongside the teams of Bahrain, Palestine, Lebanon, Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan in the Asian Cup draw.

AFC will officially announce the classification of 4 pots for the draw for the 2023 Asian Cup, which will be held on May 11 in Doha, Qatar.

The 24 teams participating in the 2023 Asian Cup will be divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each.
