Advisor to The President of Nicaragua: We Support Syria to Face The Challenges Caused by Hostile Western Policies

The Minister Counsellor of the President of the Republic of Nicaragua for Policy and International Relations Ivan Lara reaffirmed his country’s support for Syria in addressing the challenges posed by hostile Western policies.

During his acceptance via video technology of a copy of the credentials of  Ambassador Qusay Al-Dahak, Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations, non-resident Ambassador Plenipotentiary and extraordinary of the Syrian Arab Republic to Nicaragua, Lara stressed on continuing joint work at the bilateral and multilateral levels to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between Syria and Nicaragua, and defend the principles of international law and the interests of developing countries.

Minister Lara asked to convey the best greetings of the president of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega to President Bashar al-Assad, assuring his country’s support for Syria in the face of the existing challenges resulting from hostile Western policies.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Dahak conveyed President al-Assad’s greetings to President Ortega, stressing the deep historical ties between the two friendly countries and peoples, the cooperation and coordination between them in the United Nations and other international forums, to uphold the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations in the face of hegemonic policies, colonialism and foreign interference in the internal affairs of States.

Ambassador Al-Dahak expressed Syria’s desire to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
