DAMASCUS, Mar.8, (ST)-After 20 years of exile , the artist MunaWassef meets her son, the opposition writer and human rights activist Ammar Abdulhamid in Damascus.
According to Newsweek magazine, Ammar was classified as one of 43 people making a difference in the Arab world in May 2005.
In 2005, after calling for the overthrow of the Assad government, #Ammar and his wife Khawla Youssef, were forced to flee Damascus with their two children Ola (1986) and Mohannad (1990), and lived in Washington.
