Activities of the International Conference on Physical Education “MINEPS” kicked off in Azerbaijan

At the invitation of UNESCO and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Syria is taking part in the activities of the 7th International Conference on Physical Education and Sports “MIENEPS” which kicked off on Monday in Baku.

The Syrian delegation comprises the head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports in the Ministry of Education Abdul Hamid Al-Zarir, member of the Executive Bureau of the General Sports Federation Firas Al-Azab.

The delegation will participate in the multilateral conference and forum of ministers and senior officials responsible for physical education and sports.

 The conference, which will last until June 29, aims to emphasize the importance of sport and physical activity in maintaining physical and mental health, and in promoting the values of respect, equality and solidarity.

The conference is an opportunity for specialists in the fields of sports, development banks and companies to gather to review progress and identify areas of action in this regard, particularly with regard to data, training and financing, especially in developing countries.

Participants will discuss a number of topics related to investment returns in sports, the implementation of the Fitness for Life initiative at the national and international levels, maintaining integrity in sports and the well-being of participants in sports activities, and the issue of social and environmental impact on major sport events.
