Activities of Syria Motex Concluded

Beirut, (ST-) – Activities of Syria MOTEX Exhibition concluded yesterday. The event was organized by the Syrian Exporters Authority of Clothing and Textile, Development and Promotion of Exports Association and Syrian Federation of Exporters with the participation of 200 companies specialized in the textile industries.

The exhibition attracted traders, from Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, North Africa and other Arab countries, who came to sign contracts with Syrian industrialists in preparation for the holiday seasons, autumn and winter.

Mr. Firas Taqi Eddin, Vice- President of the Exporters Association said in a statement to local press: “The exhibition proved that the Syrian product is able to continue whatever the circumstances may be and the Syrian industry, especially the textile industry, will remain constant because it is one of the pillars of the national economy, pointing out that Syria MOTEX Exhibition achieved its objectives in helping the Syrian producers to maintain their markets and encouraging the export of Syrian garment and textile.”

 “This exhibition has developed rapidly and reached an area of 4,000 square meters and the number of exhibitors amounted 200, which constitutes a quantum leap to secure clients and bring life to several textile, pointing out that the Syrian industrialists are working on the development of their products in line with the tastes of consumers in terms of type and use,” he added.

For his part, Mohammed Seidawi Director of Future Line for Exhibitions and Conferences, said that the organization and processing of this exhibition was fully Syrian and in accordance with international standards of the fairs and the whole space was fully invested, highlighting the efforts exerted by the Exporters Association for Clothing and Fabric and the support provided by the Development and Promotion of Exports Association and the Federation of Syrian Exporters.

“Syria MOTEX Exhibition has become the sole important window for manufacturers, of fabrics and garments to display their products to visitors, pointing out that the participants in the exhibition are getting year after year more expertise and have the aspiration to provide the latest innovations and designs to be displayed with the aim of bringing more customers, consumers and visitors,” Mr. Seidawi concluded.
