Action plan put to secure potable water to Al-Hasakah neighborhoods as the Turkish occupation continues to cut off water supplies

The Governor of Hasakah Louay Sayoh held a meeting with the directors of official departments in the governorate of Al-Hasakah to put a plan to provide water for the neighborhoods of the city of Hasakah to alleviate the suffering of the people as a result of the Turkish occupation continued cutting of water supplies for more than a million citizens.

Sayoh called for putting all public and private water tanks into operation to distribute drinking water in order to avoid the water crisis, in the light of the increasing demand for it as a result of the high temperatures.

Sayoh stressed that all parties are concerned with securing water to alleviate the suffering of the people who are facing the American and Turkish occupation and the terrorist groups linked to them.

For his part, the Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Al-Hasakah Ibrahim Khalaf indicated that work is being done to mobilize all capabilities and efforts of the governmental, civil and popular sectors to provide greater support for transporting and securing potable water.

The deputy head of the al-Hasakah City Council Khaled al-Sattam indicated that the city council rented 8 tanks that operate in two shifts, morning and evening, with direct supervision by the council workers, in order to secure water to the people to alleviate their suffering.

The director of transportation in the governorate, Rashid Al-Raja, indicated that the directorate will secure 10 tanks that will participate in transporting water to the largest number of people’s homes.

It is noteworthy that the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with the Al-Hasakah City Council and the Sub-Committee for Relief, launched a few days ago the (a Drop of Water) initiative to deliver drinking water to the people to alleviate their suffering, in the light of the Turkish occupier’s continued cutting of drinking water completely from the Alouk water station, the main source of water in this area.
