Acting Minister of Health Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa today inspected work at Al-Golan National Hospital in Quneitra Governorate. Dr. Al-Sharaa’s tour of the hospital included the Kidney Diseases and Dialysis Unit, the General and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, the Ophthalmology Department, the Pediatrics Department, the Gynecology Department, General Operations, the Central Laboratory, the Central Pharmacy, and the Drug Store. The minister reviewed the status of equipment, demands, and needs and identified deficiencies to secure them as soon as possible, to ensure the provision of the necessary medical services to patients.
Dr. Al-Sharaa listened to the patients’ demands and needs and stressed the importance of securing kidney dialysis sessions for patients without any delay and providing chronic medications. During his meeting with the hospital staff, Dr. Al-Sharaa pointed out the necessity of continuing to provide health services under the current circumstances, indicating that the financial situation of the hospital workers will improve through increasing salaries. Dr. Al-Sharaa pointed out that during the past period, all needs were identified and classified according to priority, indicating that there is a great waste and uninvested energies in the health sector.
