Absence of international accountability behind escalation of Israeli terrorism: Palestinian Foreign Ministry

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has renewed its call on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, abandon their double standards policy and take necessary measures to force the Israeli authorities to abide by the international law and the international legitimacy resolutions.

In a statement on Tuesday, reported by WAFA News Agency, the ministry said that the Israeli terrorism towards the Palestinians is escalating with the aim of undermining the Palestinian cause and turning the struggle of the Palestinian people to restore their self determination right into a population issue that needs only relief programs.

The ministry warned the international community against being dragged behind the occupation’s attempts to get the Palestinian cause out of international priorities, clarifying that the occupation continues with its open war on the Palestinians and expands its settlement building activities to undermine any hope for establishing the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as a capital.
